Parent Participation
Parent involvement is encouraged. Parents are always welcome to visit our center. We want parents to be familiar with their child’s teachers and daily life. We also encourage parents to share any special skills or talents they may have with the school. Several parents have performed at our annual gatherings. There are also other opportunities for volunteering by joining classes on field trips as a chaperone.
Children's Learning Place has adopted a Parent Participation Policy to encourage the involvement of all CLP families in the health and continued growth and strengthening of the school. Mandatory expectations include:
1. Participation in Fundraising efforts - the Annual Fundraiser and Annual Fund
2. Five volunteer hours per year.
Volunteer Hours
Volunteer hours are on an honor system. These hours can include but are not limited to: Facility Improvement Days, CLP special events, classroom time, and field trips. CLP recognizes that parent involvement improves the school environment and helps to develop each of our families as an active part of the CLP community.
Fundraising
All parents are asked to participate in the CLP Fundraising efforts. The fundraising events vary from year to year and are selected and organized by Classroom Parents. Participation is encouraged in all our fundraising activities and special events.
