INFANTS
6 weeks to 15 months
Our INFANT Rooms are specifically designed for infants from 6 weeks to approximately 15 months old. Our infant room provides a warm, secure and comforting setting, so your baby feels safe and happy. Your baby's own crib, separate areas for changing and feeding, and a “no-shoes” policy, ensure clean playing, eating and sleeping spaces for your baby. Our loving teachers know that these early months are critical to develop the connections your baby will need for later learning. Crucial elements of infant care include lots of hugging, cuddling, singing and talking to help your baby know that he or she matters and that they are loved.
Our smallest "students" receive loving, nurturing attention in a separate area offering tranquility, stimulation and curiosity. Through a variety of activities, our PENGUINS teachers promote:
Dramatic Play | Sensory/Art | Literacy | Music | Curiosity |
Research shows that children learn from infancy. That's why Children's Learning Place offers an infant program with generous amounts of nurturing, musical and visual stimulation - because a child is never too young to develop a foundation for learning.
TODDLERS
15 months to 24 months
Our TODDLER Rooms are designed for Toddlers approximately 15-24 months of age and build on skills learned in the Penguins or Koala (infant) program. Toddlers are busy little learners with big, new worlds to explore as the little ones begin to walk, dine on table foods and interact with their peers. Our colorful, Toddler oriented room is the perfect setting, including areas for:
Dramatic Play | Construction | Sensory/Art | Curiosity |
Literacy | Music |
Our teachers lead your young toddler through age-appropriate activities to help your child learn about their body, communicate with words, solve problems and increase mobility. Physical development and a variety of interactive learning tools are utilized to expand your child's horizons even at this early age.
We specialize in guiding young toddlers toward safe discovery habits. We encourage independence, teach self-awareness, and nurture language and motor skills as we provide a safe and happy environment for toddlers to grow. Problem solving, concept formation, cooperation and self-help skills are also introduced.
