As educators, we know that field trips motivate and educate our children. Here at DCLP, we believe in exploration. We strive for a variety of educational experiences to places such as museums, wild life preserves, historic sites, and parks. Field Trips are planned in advance and parents are encourages to participate as chaperones.
The CLP Bus
The CLP bus safely transports children using six-point harness seating with high-back, padded seats.
Chicago Museum Campus
(Shedd Aquarium, Adler Planetarium, Field Museum and Soldier Field) is a fun and exciting trip with many views (cityscape, lake view, architecture, etc.) to take in and quick access to Grant Park.
Field Museum
Is an accumulation and dissemination of knowledge, and the preservation and exhibition of artifacts illustrating art, archaeology, science and history. Children love it because of the vast exhibits to include: Whales, Dinosaurs, Horses, Underground Adventures and Ancient Egypt.
Navy Pier
Is home to a variety of fun to include one of the children’s favorite exhibits, the Chicago Children’s Museum. Navy Pier also features Miniature Golf, Ferris wheel, Carousel, and Build-A-Bear. In the summer, Navy Pier also features an alternating fountain that the children love to play in and get wet.
Lil' Kickers
CLP is proud to be a part of Chicago’s Lil’ Kickers. Lil' Kickers is a non-competitive introductory soccer and movement skills program offering classes for boys and girls starting at ages
18 months.The activities take a child-centered approach to sports development.
