Ms. Michelle, Director |
Hello, I’m Michelle. I have over 20 years experience in a variety of early childhood programs, from privately owned, corporate owned and head-start operated. I have done everything and anything that there is to do in the early childhood field. I began my career as an assistant teacher, working my way through college to become a lead teacher; from there I went on to be an assistant director/director of two different centers as well as an educational coordinator. I have my degree in Early Childhood Education and am finalizing my application for Illinois Director Level III credentialing and my Illinois Teacher Level IV credentialing. I also hold State and City Licensing for Food Service and Santitation, as well as, CPR & First Aid certifiication. I am a 10 year resident of Chicago and before moving to the city, I was living in my hometown of Wonder Lake, which is in McHenry County. I like to call it "the country" as we were surrounded by farms and fields of corn. I am married to my wonderful husband and we have one "child" - our 12 year old, 90 pound black Labrador name Chance. I enjoy photography, baking, cooking large family meals, and watching crime shows in my spare time. I look forward to assisting all of the families, children and staff with their education and development here at Children's Learning Place. |

Ms. Jessica, Assistant Director |
Hello, my name is Ms. Jessica and I first joined our CLP family in 2012. I started my career at our Bucktown location as an assistant teacher, then moved to lead teacher in our infant program. As my experience grew, so did my opportunities with the company; after several years as the infant lead teacher, I moved up to lead a classroom of two year-olds while also taking on a “Manager on Duty” position. This then lead to learning the ropes to become Assistant Director. I am currently the Assistant Director of our brand new location here in West Town. My goal as an educator: is to advocate for children, promote development & growth, and assist families with their child’s educational goals. A little about me; I was born & raised in Chicago and after graduating from high school I spent some time in Puerto Rico for a few years before I returned t0 attend college. As a child I wanted to be “just like my mom – a teacher”, and I have fulfilled that dream. I would one day like to continue my education. When I have free time, I enjoy reading, shopping, cleaning and also spending time with my family and friends. I look forward to working with the children, families and staff here at CLP West Town. My “desk” is always open for questions, comments or concerns. |
